Who Can Use the App

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know at matt@nlaapp.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

What the App Does

Next Level Awaits is a personal goal, task, habit, and journal tracker. The core tracking features are free. A Premium subscription unlocks the AI assistant, calendar sync, and priority goal boosts (XP) — all described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Your Content

Everything you enter — goals, tasks, journal entries, habits — is yours. We don't claim ownership of it. You're granting us only the license needed to store and process it in order to run the app for you (for example, syncing it across your sessions, or sending it to our AI provider when you choose to use the assistant).

You're responsible for what you enter into the app. Don't use it to store or share anything illegal, or content that violates someone else's rights.

The AI Assistant

The AI assistant is a Premium feature that helps you organize and reflect on what you enter into the app. It is not professional advice — medical, financial, legal, psychological, or otherwise — and you shouldn't treat its responses as such. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for anything that requires one.

AI responses can be wrong. We don't guarantee the assistant's output is accurate, complete, or appropriate for your situation.

Subscriptions

The app offers an optional paid Premium subscription for additional features. If you subscribe:

• Billing is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play, not by us directly — their standard billing terms apply.
• We use RevenueCat to manage and validate your subscription across devices; RevenueCat does not process your payment or see your card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• If you reinstall the app or switch devices, use the in-app Restore Purchases option to restore an active subscription.
• Pricing is shown to you before you purchase and may change in the future; we won't change the price of an active subscription without notice.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their own policies — we don't process refunds directly.
• Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it separately through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.

Acceptable Use

Don't:

• Use the app for anything illegal
• Try to break, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app's normal operation
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Use the app to abuse, overload, or attack our infrastructure or our third-party providers (Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat)

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

Third-Party Services

The app relies on Supabase (authentication and data storage), Anthropic (the AI assistant), and RevenueCat (subscription management), and, if you enable it, your device's own calendar app. Your use of the app is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable. We aren't responsible for outages or issues originating from these third-party services, though we'll do our best to keep the app working around them.

Termination

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account, which permanently deletes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

No Warranty

The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific needs.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to These Terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
